2025 May | Sender ID Registration

Important updates regarding Sender ID (SID) registration requirements in Kazakhstan, UAE, and Ireland may affect your SMS delivery processes. This release outlines key changes, associated fees, and deadlines to help you stay compliant.

KZ and UAE

Do you currently send sms-traffic to Kazakhstan or the United Arab Emirates? Or are you planning to start in the coming months? Be aware that both countries have changes regarding Sender ID (SID) registration that may impact your SMS delivery.

Effective 1 June 2025, mobile operator Beeline Kazakhstan will introduce mandatory Sender ID (SID) registration. To prevent message delivery failures, all brands must pre-register their Sender IDs. Note that a registration fee of €25 per Sender ID per month will apply.

It’s well known that the UAE already requires Sender ID registration. However, operators have recently updated their pricing structure. Newly registered Sender IDs are now subject to a setup fee of €80 and a monthly fee of €40.

If you have any questions or would like to register a Sender ID for either country, please don’t hesitate to contact your Account Manager or support team.

Ireland

SMS Sender ID Registry (“the Registry”) will be launched on 28 May 2025. From this date onwards, Sender ID Organisations (SIDOs), will be able to register Sender IDs on a “first-come-first-served” basis. Keep an eye for further updates.

In case you have already taken part in the ‘Bulk Registration' earlier this year, expect to receive an e-mail from the Registry with instructions on how to validate/activate your Sender Ids.

Note that from 3rd of July 2025 onwards unregistered SIDs will be overwritten to 'Likely Scam' and from October 3rd - blocked.

2024 February | UK Legislation

UK legislation has been introduced in the UK to prevent smishing and spam via SMS. CM.com is required to adhere to these regulatory changes,.
